Getting Started Is Easy
I take a personalized approach to every student. Here is what the process looks like from your first conversation to your child's first session or your first activity plan.
-
1. Reach Out
The first step is a casual, no-pressure conversation. Send me a text, an email, or schedule a free intro call. I will learn a little about your child, what you are seeing at home or hearing from their teacher, and what you are hoping to get out of this. There is no set time limit and no commitment. I just want to understand your family's situation so I can point you in the right direction.
-
2. Reading Assessment
If you decide to move forward, the next step is a reading assessment. This is a 90-minute one-on-one session with your child in a relaxed, unhurried environment with plenty of time for breaks. The assessment gives me a complete picture of where your child is: their strengths, the areas where they need support, and how they approach reading.
The assessment is $150 and includes a written report specific to your child with my detailed evaluation and a recommendation for next steps.
If your child has been assessed recently by a school or another specialist, you are welcome to send me those results instead.
-
3. Review and Recommendation
Once the assessment is complete, we will schedule a short call to go over the results together. I will walk you through what I found and share my recommendation for the best path forward. That might be 1-on-1 tutoring, parent coaching, or a combination. If I do not think either is the right step for your child, I will tell you that too, along with what I would suggest instead.
-
4. Choose Your Path
Once we have found the right fit, we get started. If you choose tutoring, we will set up your child's session schedule and get them on the calendar. If you choose parent coaching, I will build your first 4-week activity plan and we will set up your weekly check-in rhythm. Either way, you will have access to your parent portal where you can see progress, plans, and communicate with me directly.
